Pony Cousin Pranks...

These girls were in rare form this year at our campout.... One would THINK they would have been easier on their moms.... But, noooo.....  we had to watch our backs constantly!
The FIRST issue was the missing Victoria Secret bra....I had washed out some dainties and put them in a discreet place on my porch to dry in the HOT sun.  I swear they weren't there long and next thing I know....?  My bra is missing!  It went missing for like 2 days!  Until one morning when we were heading out to feed the horses, and Dusty Devoe and Cowgirljlynn came running back into our cabin yelling "OMG! We found your bra! Those girls ran it up the flagpole!"
I spent the rest of the trip wondering how I was going to get it down and watching  guests arriving and "noticing" the flagpole and they'd start laughing....ugh! just kill me now please.....
Here is a picture of them with thier "partner in crime" Justin, (notice the huge snake in his arm?) heading out to the barn for a "TOUR"  oh HA!  If you think we moms are falling for THAT one you're crazy!  So, we followed them, tip toeing around the barn, sneaking under windows, through horse stalls, hiding behind equipment while they were "touring."   One time, while we were all sneaking across an outside stall, when  the motion detector lights came on and we all had to run and duck behind poles and farm equipment!  It was just like Cowboys and Indians hiding.....AND THEN! they heard us, and started to come outside to investigate....Well, I don't think this group of women has ever moved so fast since we were teenagers!  We RAN LIKE CRAZY, around the fenced area, up the long driveway and LITERALLY DOVE under this tall cattle loading frame!  Ugh!  Here we were, grown women, on our knees, (I was in a sundress with cowgirl boots),  in the dirt and rocks, in the dark, under this THING we couldn't see what was REALLY under there, (did I mention I hate spiders?)  and here we are....hiding from our daughters and Justin.  We started laughing so hard!!! ....quietly of course, which any of you our age knows just causes serious worry with your pantiliners.  (Below you can see a picture of this "cattle loading ramp" in the background of "She who rides in full moon")  Finally, Saddle Mountain Rider went in and began talking to them to distract them.  While they were distracted, we moms all crawled out of our hiding place and RAN like school kids running the track,  back to the common area to "appear" like we had been there all night.  I think that evening was the most laughs for all of us!
And that wasn't even the end of it.....Oh no.  Those girl even found time during that evening to teepee Cousin Eeeee's and Saddle Mountain Riders cabin with Pictures of Clint Anderson.  Cousin Eeeee lusts after him like a school girl.   They walked into their cabin to CLINT, EVERYWHERE!  hee! hee!  I don't think she took them down until the end of the trip!
Yes, they got us good this year....

  5. I must say how appropriate that it was a striped bra; to see its stripes, flying with the stars and stripes, was just so uplifting!
