My daughter had this old birdhouse planter sitting on her front porch for several seasons, unfinished.
Her kids, and I decided it needed to be spruced up with a coat of paint this year!

It made for quite a days project for them!
Connor was really good at doing the larger painting of the base coat! But, I will admit, his attention span only lasted through that, and then the cartoons won out for his attention.

Brooklyn says she wants to be an artist so this is right up her alley....

But, first everything had to get it's base coat.

She really enjoyed learning techniques of sponging trees and shrubs, making ivy leaves and little dot flowers. Here she is putting cherries in the trees.

But, for some reason Connor was adament that he was going to paint the leaves! So we called him back in when it was time to do that...And he did a wonderful job!

They are SOOO proud of their finished project for their moms front porch!

And I'm proud of these talented little kids...
