Avaa's Dance Recital...

Today, we went to the Pantages Theater downtown Tacoma for Avaa's Dance recital...She was so happy that we were there. Her Daddy had us give her these flowers for him. (He couldn't be here,...on fire duty in CA.) She did real well, but it was an awfully long day for these little ones.
Saw some beautiful dancing from the older students too! It was quite an elaborate and high quality performance.

How absoulutely gorgeous she is!!! it is so fun to see the little ones dance. None of them are doing the same thing at the same time!LOL

Adorable! Our Tatiana had her first dance recital on Friday night. She is 6 ... the children were just wonderful, & so rpecious to watch. TTFN ~Marydon

My NEW Welcome!....

You'll notice in these posts me being referred to as "She Who Rides Many Ponies." This is due to several Pony Cousin get togethers, where almost everyone had their own horse, but me. I rode 18 horses in 5 years time. And then as our cousin partying progressed, it seemed like the right thing to do that we all had indian names. Well, it was a good idea after several drinks!

WEll, this year, I now have my own horse. A 10 year old Tennessee Walker, Palomino named Durango.

He's a love, and we are learning so much together and about each other.

This grandmother of 5 is determined to live her life to the fullest, before i can't due to Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hands.

We are snow birds and Durango is coming along with me! There is fabulous riding to be conquered in the Desert mountains and canyons. We will be building his muscle up slowly, but the DESERT ROSE and myself will be logging many miles this winter.

About Me....

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. I'm a loyal friend, with many friends of different beliefs, religious and political.
I cherish those friends of mine who are just as loyal. I avoid hotheads, and insincere people.

I'm a conservative when it comes to voting, but a bleeding heart....on some issues.
I love Cooking, Baking, Get togethers with my cousins, Girls nights out, Horses, Singing LOUD in the car, Traveling, Camping, New movies and New shoes!

I'm going through a period in my life were I want to live life to its fullest. There are certain things I really want to do before I die someday. One of those things is to own my own horse. It's become a passion over time but I really want one before I'm too old to ride! So, This is my goal for the near future.....hang in there with me on my adventures, riding with my cousins and working on my husband to get my own four legged buddy!

My Indian name was bestowed in love, but also for a reason...

As I said in my "welcome" letter, all of my Pony Cousins have been blessed with their own "special names" that they have earned in one way or another.

Mine: Because I have no horse of my own. I'd love to have one, but our lifestyle, right now just doesn't allow for it. Anyway.....

I ride, borrow, steal and train on different horses....HENCE, my name: She who rides many ponies.

Might be fun to keep track of my rides huh?
