And thank you Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ for hosting this fun event each week!
We are busy being "Snowbirds" in Yuma AZ. right now. We have made so many friends here. It's fun everyday! Between riding horses, classes I'm taking, Golf every Tuesday with a select group of women, then lunch afterwards, Cocktail/appetizer parties at least 3 nights a week, Farmers Market, Bike Rides and going to the Casino. We hardly have time to hit the pool this year!
My girlfriend and I were talking at the St. Paddy's Day Dinner/Dance last night and we decided that this is pretty much like Grown ups Summer Camp! We are on the go like crazy, doing things we wouldn't normally do at home, we party more than normal, spend more money at casinos and Mexico than normal and DEFINATELY socialize more than normal! Some nights we have been so rushed during the day, (doing fun things) we'v had to come home, shower, get ready for a party and leave that our motorhome looked like a college dorm room when we left it! So ashamed!!!
Sitting here on this golf course, EVERYONE goes by our place, stops and visits, and half the time ends up congragating outside on the patio. And, EVERYONE must have a screen put up in front of their RV, in order to prevent being hit with the "occasional" stray golf ball. So, many people decorate their screens with Canadian/American Flags or a sign with their name on it. But our flag is a bit more colorful...We have become known for it. Now, since most of our friends here are Canadians, they all must be heading home soon, so it's beginning to wind down. We will start having many going away parties...OH Yea, more parties! And another season will have come to an end, emails and phone numbers will be exchanged and we will sadly say our goodbyes until next season....And we will all go home and dry out for another year. Hee! Hee!
This is my "PINK" for this week, it's my flag that I proudly wave in front of our Home Away From Home.
HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!
